Soccer pioneers come in all shapes, sizes, and genders. As a student athlete at Yale, Lawrie Mifflin paved the way for Title 9 and NCAA girls sports in the early 70’s and then rolled that into a career in sports journalism. Lawrie covered the NY Cosmos and numerous World Cups at a time that female sports reporters were non-existent.
